Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt

Method

1Place sugar and water in a saucepan and boil until it forms a deep amber colour (do not stir).

2Once the sugar mixture has started turning an amber colour, quickly remove the saucepan from the heat and add the butter. Stir well.

3Put the saucepan back on the heat and stir. Slowly add the cream while stirring (it will bubble up) and allow the sauce to boil for a few minutes.

4Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.

5Pour the salted caramel over the popcorn and mix well.

6Pour the caramel popcorn onto a lined baking sheet and spread well. Bake for 30 minutes at 150°C.
